How To Choose A Baby Gate?
how to choose a baby gate- we have stairs in our house – 2 floors and rooms with doorways – regular, narrow and wide. Where also do we need to put them as our baby will be crawling and walking soon? Also we have cats and cat litter, etc…
other tips on babyproofing?
Gates near stairs going down need to be ones that are installed into the stud. No exceptions. So long as you aren’t using a mesh gate, most of the gates should allow the cats to go from room to room without problems.
Kitty litter: Everybody I know put the litter box into the bathtub and removed it when the tub was needed. Keeps the baby out and the kitties can easily use it. Alternatively, keep the litter box in the bathroom and put the babygate up at the bathroom door.
If you have a basement where you keep the litter boxes, you have to decide if you are comfortable with a gate at the top of the stairs and the inherent risk or move the box upstairs into the bathtub.
I’m sure there are other solutions!
