I’m not sure the names of the ones I’ve used, but none of them lasted more than a month before they figured out how to get them open.

we have two evenflo brand gates and i would NOT buy another; they constantly need adjustment to close properly; our other gate is a dream baby, and we haven’t had to adjust it in over a year, but it is constant with the evenflos we have on the stairs ; not sure it’s the same model as you are looking at, but i have always thought they made cheap products and i couldn’t find another gate that would work with our stairs and they are crap and haven’t been up nearly as long as the dream baby…if i were you i would keep looking, i went against my better judgement and now i regret it..

There are some really nice ones at home depot or lowes I believe they are “safety 1st”. They are pretty reasonably priced and they do have the kind you can attach to a wall to swing open. Or the completely removeable ones.
